Community Benefit

Drummarnock Wind Farm will make an annual contribution of £5,000 for every megawatt of installed capacity during the period of operation to a local community benefit fund.

On the basis of up to a 30MW project, this could amount to a community benefit fund with an equivalent annual estimate value of £150,000 or £4.5 million over the life of the project.

Based on feedback from the local communities, the community benefits package offered will be tailored with a view to contributing tangible benefits.

Community Ownership

Drummarnock Wind Farm would look to explore potential models for part community share ownership. This would provide an opportunity for the communities around the site to acquire a direct stake in the project.. Further information regarding community ownership is available at: www.localenergy.scot
